Pool Construction Coordination
How we plan and coordinate the shell, plumbing and electrical work behind a pool-spa install.
What construction coordination covers
Lakeside Pavilion Pools does not pour the shell itself — we plan the layout, coordinate the trades and manage the plumbing and electrical tie-in so a new or existing pool and an adjoining spa share one working system.

The planning visit maps where the pool shell, decking and equipment pad will sit relative to the house, property lines and any existing structures. We note the grading and drainage so water moves away from the foundation, and we confirm the electrical panel has capacity for the combined pool-spa load before any trade is scheduled.
Once the layout is agreed, we coordinate the shell, plumbing and electrical trades against one schedule, so the pool and spa are tied into a single equipment pad rather than two separate systems added months apart.
That one-schedule approach is also what keeps the decking surround consistent — it gets framed once, around both finished structures, instead of being extended awkwardly after a spa is added later.
Quick answers
Construction-specific questions
Do you pour the concrete shell yourselves?
No — we coordinate the trades that do, and manage the plumbing and electrical tie-in around their schedule.
Can you work with a shell that is already built?
Yes, the standard and premium packages both apply whether the pool shell is new or already in the ground.
What about permits?
Municipal building and electrical permits apply to most pool-spa tie-ins; we build the inspection steps into the project schedule rather than promise a fixed approval date.
Construction sequence
Stage by stage
Site preparation
Grading, access and utility locates are confirmed before any trade arrives.
Shell & structural work
Coordinated with the chosen shell contractor against the agreed layout.
Plumbing & electrical rough-in
Runs are sized for the combined pool-spa load from the start.
Decking tie-in
The surround is framed to meet both structures cleanly.
Inspection & handover
Electrical inspection is scheduled, then we walk you through the finished system.
Who this fits
null
Most clients bringing us a project already know roughly what size shell and decking they want; our part is making sure the plumbing, electrical and equipment-pad decisions around that shell leave room for the spa to be added cleanly, now or later.
This service suits homeowners along the Pembina Highway corridor who already have a shell contractor in mind, or who want the pool and spa planned as one project from the outset rather than coordinating separate trades themselves.
It is not the right fit for a standalone above-ground spa with no pool nearby, or for structural repair of an aging shell — for those, mention the situation at the planning visit and we will point you toward the right contact.

What we need from you
Documents and access
- A recent property survey or lot plan, if available
- Confirmation of the electrical panel's current capacity
- Any existing permit paperwork from earlier work on the property
- Clear vehicle access to the yard for the planning visit
- A note of any neighbouring structures or fence lines close to the planned work area
- A preferred start-of-season date, if the build needs to be ready for a particular month
